He earned a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Development from USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy, studying real estate finance, market analysis, building design, and construction management. This foundation allows him to navigate both the technical and financial aspects of development effectively.

Before founding Opal Arch, Jacob gained early exposure to large-scale development through work on retail, federal, and infill housing projects. He later joined Stay Open, a venture-backed hospitality startup, where he worked on innovative real estate concepts, refining his ability to adapt in fast-moving, high-growth environments.

At Opal Arch, Jacob leads operations and strategy, leveraging a strong network of subcontractors and industry partners to ensure projects are executed at a high level. His expertise lies in repositioning underutilized properties, enhancing both functionality and long-term value.

Beyond Opal Arch, Jacob is actively involved in Kansas City’s creative and cultural community. His background in event production and music informs his interest in placemaking—creating spaces that bring people together and foster lasting connections.
